Join Us!

Your first step to becoming a member is to contact our chapter to find out when and where our chapter will be meeting. We would love to invite you to a meeting to find out more about our organization.

At our meetings, we have informative speakers to speak to our chapter on an array of topics. We also discuss upcoming events, get committee updates and learn of opportunities for service to the communities that the Sarah Ann Cochrane Chapter, NSDAR, serves. Visit our Gallery page for a sampling of photos from previous events. You may also visit our Events page for more information.

Ancestry Research
The Sarah Ann Cochrane Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution can help you find out if you might have an ancestor who fought in the American Revolution. Collect as much information as you know about the names of your parents, grandparents, etc. Supporting information such as their birth, marriage, and death dates is also very helpful. If you are new to genealogy, there are info and forms to help you get started from the Plymouth DAR chapter Finding Your Patriot page.

The Library also has a variety of genealogy databases and materials. Start with the PDL Genealogy page or call (734) 453-0750 and ask for the reference desk. Additional information can be found through the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution here.

Once you have as much information as possible collected, please contact us and we will put you in touch with a member who can assist you further.

DAR Legacy

What do these lovely ladies have in common besides they are related to one another? They are all Sarah Ann Cochrane, NSDAR, Legacy members – all three generations of them (grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, granddaughters, and nieces!) are descended from the same Patriot ancestor.

Our chapter also boasts of several pairs of mother and daughter members!
