Honoring Our Veterans

Chapter member Sandy Borieo was thrilled and honored when she won a top national award from the VFW for all of her volunteer  work throughout the years for their organization.

Needless to say, Sandy was surprised and even more honored to receive a DAR State Award recognizing that achievement. Some of her accomplishments: Past district 4 VFW auxiliary 2014-15; currently department color bearer number 3: won 1st place as district president in state.   VFW auxiliary President 4 times since 1989.  Held all chairmanships over the years: past treasurer and secretary for VFW auxiliary in Detroit.  Held two state chsirmanships for legislative and auxiliary achievement
